Okay the hand you shoot with, and act like your shooting with that one hand, now what eye are you using to shoot? If you are right handed and using your right eye good. If your right handed and using your left eye, we have some problems. If your left handed and using your left hand your fine, and the vice versa is so.
What you have if you are opening the left eye but shoot with your right hand, is eye domaniance problem.
This is a large problem for majority of people that begin to snipe, or gain marksmanship. The problem is that your eye is not lined properly to the iron sites, both the front and back, so even when not discharging at long ranges, you still have problems.
To remedy this problem, use the right eye more often, snipers often close one eye to line the eye to the sights, but often the eye domaniance problem is also on muscles, because now the eye that you can close your right, but not left. So when you are trying to line up the sights your dominate eye wont close because the eye your trying to use is the less dominate. So practice with sniping using the correct eye and your on your way.

Greetings, I noticed this when playing paintball, my left eye is dominant, but I shoot with my right hand. Now I have taken the time to completely reteach myself how to shoot well with mainly my left hand. There is a way to find out which of your eyes is dominant. Punch a pencil sized hole in the middle of a piece of paper. Now lay a penny or something similair on the ground. Hold the piece of paper above the penny and look at it through the hole. Now take turns closing your left and right eye. Whichever eye you can see the penny through the hole is your dominant eye.
